Just arrived, just in time for houseboat, Turkey, etc...

Canon EF-S 10-22mm f/3.5-4.5 USM

Any hating on EF-S will be blissfully ignored.

I like seeing that image next to your userpic, as if it's five times larger than your head.

Cool. I guess you've felt a need for a wider angle than the 'standard' lenses? My 28-55 kit lens has served me well so far, but I don't do much with it.

No hating on the EF-S from me, but definite love for the USM...

f/4.5 seems really slow for 22mm?

Is that internal zoom (doesn't get longer)? After getting the 16-35 f/2.8L, I'm totally in love with zoom lenses that stay the same size.

I am pretty frustrated at how slow the non-L canon zooms are. Sure, IS is great, but it doesn't help when you're trying to freeze action shots.

nice! I've been looking to get a nice wide lens for my nikon, but I want something with a really low aperture because I shoot mostly natural/ambient light.

I've got Sigma's 10-20mm. This focal range is A LOT of fun to play with.

And EF-S?! Are you kidding?!?! ;)

You know, you could have sold your 20d and bought a 5d for not that much more than your 10-22. Which would make your 17-55 effectively a "10mm"... plus you get a kickass camera... that's not hating is it?

the 17-55 is EF-S, huh? I didn't think it was...

Why such a limited range on the f-stops? 3.5 to 4.5 doesn't give you much leeway.

I'm glad it's one of those "ultrasonic" lenses...light that travels slower than sound makes taking pictures really hard.
