Facebook just keeps getting better. Totally, totally loving it.
As part of my research to sync all social networking graphs between sites I wrote a little one-off thingy to add all my LJ friends to my Facebook, but I'm sure it missed most of you. If you didn't get a friend request from me, plz to be being my friend. Facebook's "findfriends.php" kinda sucks. Better than LJ, but could do a lot more.
Going to write Perl bindings for Thrift next, only tangentially related, but it'd be a good way to learn. Then an LJ/Vox Facebook App, using WWW:::Facebook::API, probably.
I got your friend request and was notified by email. For some reason there were 3 other friend requests awaiting my attention, but I never got any notification for any of them. So whatever you did was maybe better than the normal method for adding a friend.

I was thinking about making an LJ app where the user's facebook UID becomes another kind of authenticated identity on LJ and they can act as their authenticated selves, as long as anyone involved says that they "trust facebook".
However, I didn't really get too far with that. So many things to hack on, but so little time...

One recent change I'm not loving is the captcha test served when you click "add to friends".
It has to be one of the most evil ones I've seen for a while, and took several attempts to get it solved.
I just accidentally sent a friend request to a guy I only kind of know because I wanted to see that captcha. It sent the friend request before I knew it and no sign of any captchas along the way. Thanks a lot! :P

On facebook every time I add a friend I see one. Maybe its just me ..?
my number one friends list is lj (been here 7 years eeep) and it'd be so much easier if most social networking sites had an invite your lj friends thing.
Twitter has one but it fails every time with my flist
That would be a great feature.
Facebook is positively byzantine with adding friends, I guess to prevent spam.
Write a social network.
Your Ancient LJ Users
TechCrunch will post about their hot scoop on 6A/Facebook integration in 5... 4... 3...
We have the same but on Russian: vkontakte.ru. It is crazy popular right now, I have already have 100 friends there.

Thrift for Perl is done already
It was the obvious thing to do, so someone did it
. I do like the idea of Thrift, but haven't used it in anger yet.

Re: Thrift for Perl is done already
Yeah, I saw that. Wish Thrift would do another release, or have a public repo.
