Wow, Marc. Relax! It's all good.... :)

Nothing I've been doing regarding social network portability is secret. I've been discussing it at Internet Identity Workshop, Foo Camp, OSCON, etc.

Yeah, I'll admit there hasn't been much in the way of blog posts about it. Those will be coming. And David and I will be at the data sharing summit.

But so far we've been discussing our plans with Dopplr (Matt), Twitter (Blaine, Goldman, Jack, Ev), Digg (Kevin), Pownce (Leah), Technorati (Tantek), Facebook (several, incl. Mark), Six Apart, Zooomr (Kris), Chris Messina, O'Reilly (Tim) and a bunch more at various events and coffee shops.

David and I will put together a more meaty post soon. Sorry about that... not trying to be secretive.

my new stuff is also tangentially related, but I think we'll just follow your lead on that stuff, as our focus is on a different part of it (but portability of social networks fits right in).

Hey Brad,

I was wondering if you might think a little about what it's like to be one of the "who's who" of the internet?

The celebrity aspect of it, you know? I mean, here you are, with posts mentioning you being sighted here and there... what's that like? Did you every imagine that people would be reporting your whereabouts, and speculating on your next move? That has GOT to be weird.

I'm having an interesting time thinking about what that would be like. Perhaps you might consider posting a little about it.

When last we emailed briefly about respective work conditions, I came away with the belief that you would be walking away from 6A and doing basically this (before I read about any of the things you mentioned). I'm very excited that you are!

I also think that it's going to be a long time before what I do is relevant for a company with which you're involved (modulo Google's hiring spree, but I get less interested every time they harass me), but I still think where you're going sounds like fun!
