What kind of laptop do you have? I guess you have a lot more requirements than I do (because I just wanted word, excel, and the internet!), but my Air runs for like 4 hours. I was doing my Quicken in Zoka, I swear for like 4 hours, and it ran down the battery but didn't die. Maybe you need 2 laptops for different uses.

You know what, they should make solar powered laptop batteries so you never have to plug in. Just sit near a window & you stay charged.

Oooh, good idea. Or key presses power a generator which also charges the battery, kinda like braking in a hybrid. :-P

If it is a MacBook Pro then it is. Batteries go bad often in these things.
