You guys pay even more than us in Norway. Unleaded is about 12,5-13 NOK/litre, diesel is 11,3-12,8 NOK/litre.

I remember being upset when gas crossed the $1 threshold.

I drive a scooter to work every day, and at 100mpg it certainly helps to make the fillup process less painful. It wouldn't even feel so bad if the price of gas doubled...

When I moved for my two year stint in Seattle ('98), it was ~$.75/gal. While simultaneously it was $1.50 in Portland.

Yeah - 1998 was my senior year. I lived out side Portland and gas was .89 - 1.00.
