When I was in the Air Force stationed in Australia, we had Australian cooks. The most requested type of food was mexican. His spanish food didn't cut it.
Finally someone had a basic mexican cookbook and some mexican chili and other spiced shipped in from home.
The cook started reading about tortillas and said "Ahhh, I know how to make these."
So we had very tasty burritos wrapped in crepes.
How did this come about? I mean, I totally agree with you, besides crepes are made of eggs and tortillas are like corn or flour. And crepes are thin and burritos are fat, right?!

I ordered a crepe but it looked like a burrito.
