Grrr.... I cannot fall asleep! I've tried dumb little "falling asleep trick" I know, but I just can't do it. Man, this sucks.|
I have found that ya' just can't force it. wait until you really want it :)
dude, i've wanted it for the last 6 hours.
Whats the dumb "falling asleep trick?"
thinking of coming out of body, and going up in the sky looking down at myself laying in bed while i'm spinning in circles....
or counting myself breathing in and out up to 100....
shit like that.
didn't work tonight.

heh it might work better if you slam your head into a wall over and over until you render yourself unconcious
Yeah, I agree with Brad on this one... that would kinda hurt, and you'd probably wake up with a big freaking headache too. dumbshit :P
Actually, I do something similar. I imagine the celing coming closer and closer, etc. once again, trying to numb the mind for some reason or another
I just lay on this one couch we have and shove my head between the cushions... cuts out the noise of the tv and my dumbass brother screaming. Plus, nice cushiony effect.

You could always drink a fifth of vodka.. and no, I don't dare you to drive.
My falling asleep trick is Diphenhydramine HCI 50 mgs. It is the active ingredient in Bennydryl and also what they use in over the counter sleep aids. It is cheapest to purchase it in the generic bennydryl form and is non habit forming. The standard dose is 50 mgs. I sometimes have to go to 75 mgs and it does the trick every single time without bad side effects of drowsiness the following day. I am a light sleeper and it has been the one thing that helps my sanity at moments. I don't take it all that often but it is a nice thing to have in the medicine chest on insomnia nights. Well, good luck!

my problem is...
when i get tired my mind wanders. so when i'm in bed trying to get some sleep, i am really lying there thinking about a hundred different things that i cannot do anything about.
so. i open my eyes and stare at the ceiling. i stop thinking about stupid shit. i close my eyes, and focus on my breathing. i breathe slowly and deeply, and relax. it's a semi-meditative thing, but it does help me sleep.
other than that, you could try reading a shit-boring book...

Re: yet another remedy
man, that's what I do when I'm sleepless ... I read tons of people's journals, I think it's fun though...
yea dude, not being able to fall asleep is the worst! Usually happens when I have too much on my mind.
Call your brother to give you a punch in your face and I am sure you will "sleep"
