Blythe helped me get my DVD list up-to-date ... I'd accidentally forgot to enter 18 of them. I'm happy that they're all there now.

Get a CueCat and the Linux software for it, and you can just scan them in and it will build the list for ya.

Re: :CueCat

Yup. Or you can go to the website and have them send you one via mail. No trip to Radio Shack required.

Re: :CueCat

Your :CueCat Kit includes our original, patented :CRQ software and :CueCat reader, a $49.95* value, Free! All you pay is $9.95* per kit for shipping and handling and we will deliver it right to your door. Plus we will even include our convergence cable that allows your TV to talk to your computer, a $7.95 value, as our special bonus!

Fuck that.

I'll go to Radio Shack.

I don't trust that crappy company with my credit card number.

Re: :CueCat

I don't blame you one bit.

I didn't have to go to Radio Shack, OR order one online. You see, Digital Convergence (the company that makes the CueCat) is based in Dallas. They gave a BIG presentation AT MY OFFICE which we were all REQUIRED to attend. Of course, I didn't... but I had my boss pick me up one of the packets which contained the CueCat and the "Convergence" Cable.

Works great for scanning in book collections, CD collections, DVD collections, and also serves as a handy dandy flashlight when in dire straights.

Re: :CueCat

How do you go about getting it to build a list for you? I just got one, and all I can get it to do is go the webpage of the company that made the product. Am I missing something simple?
