I hate MIPS.
MIPS steals my sleep.
The MIPS is a RISC processor, utilized mainly in embedded systems and superscalar parallel architectures. It's favoured by SGI, Siemens/Nixdorf, the erstwhile DEC, LSI, and several other vendors. They also make the chip found in the Nintendo 64 and the Sony Playstation 2. Windows CE has a considerable stake in MIPS technology too.
Their website is at www.mips.com
Enough geekery for now :-)

Yeah it also means Million Instructions Per Second :)
I like MIPS! In college we fabricated our own MIPS R4300 using Altera MaxII+. Extra credit for the pipeline, which was immensely simplified by the fact that the 4300 allows you to execute floating point FPU instructions in the integer ALU.
It was one of the few courses I actually learned something in.
Maybe you just need more and more MIPS... MIPS are evil 8O
Hey! Aren't you busy pushing for a manual recount? Still have the time to post on brad's journal? :)
Yeahhhh, sometimes you have to know where your priorities lie... Tipper said "screw livejournal" but hey, I make my own choices, screw her ;)
