Do you know what would be an interesting statistic? the percentage of posts to your livejournal that have at least 1 comment. heh.

A couple of my friends went to go see Cast Away last night and the last ten minutes was a blank screen..*laughs* They don't know how it ended. Why am I sharing this with you? No clue ;)

Re: The flick =)

Our movie got screwed at the end too.... had to wait 10 minutes or so for them to fix it, and then when they finally did, it broke again... twice. Very annoying watching the last bit of the movie in 3x the time.

Nice stomache.

Re: The flick =)

When we saw it the end was fine...but the sound during the first half an hour was REALLY messed up.

"Yeah that fucking sound pissed me off dude."

Re: The flick =)

Were Chris and I the only people to successfully see this movie all the way through with no error?

Man, I tried to see that tonight but we missed our show. If it sounds as good as everyone says, I won't mind paying the $7.75!

no movie is worth $7.75, but if one is, it's this one....

that's probably true...I found this awesome place over the summer that showed pretty recently released movies for $.65...it was great, but I think I'll shell out the cash to see Cast Away now.

Which you do is start becoming friends with everyone at the Movie theater, then you get in for free.

I saw "What woman want." the night before it came out.

Film quirks

I'm sorry... but as a movie theatre projectionist... for once... I know what I'm talking about... the kind of film they used to actually "print" "Cast Away" has been very troublesome across the country. In fact, the copy I built in Hamilton, Ohio contained numerous error and warping. The reasoning behind this is simple... they tried to mass produce copies of the film in too short of a period of time.

If a film sits in a holding space after being built, the chance of the film being stolen increases greatly... thus, the canisters containing "Cast Away" were labeled "Bones."

But I digress... the reasoning behind all these problems is due to the fact Fox tried to mass produce these prints. And film would have NEVER snapped at Kerasotes Showplace 8 Hamilton. As a shift manager and head projectionist... you have my word on that. :-)

Re: Film quirks

I was *wondering* if it was something like that!

I heard so many people that had problems with it that I knew there had to be something specific to this movie about it.

I was kinda hoping you'd speak up.

Thanks!
