Last two days have been very relaxing... last night we watched a bunch of TV (I can't even remember how many consecutive shows we watched), went to bed early, and woke up late (couldn't sleep).|
This morning I expected to be woken up early by the people putting in the stairs to the newly remodeled attic, but they can't come for a week because some parts aren't it.
So, instead my parents and I went on a walk down the beach and took the shuttle back. This town rules... it's all small-townish and stuff. I guess that doesn't rule by itself, but it's a nice change from the city I guess. The city shuttle here is free, for instance... that's just bizarre.
Anyway, got back and watched more TV. Got bored after awhile and went out into the dunes and spun. I was just messing around and accidentally learned to do a few turns that I hadn't been able to do before. Worked on all that for awhile and decided I was ready to light them on fire.
After dinner we went to the market to rent a movie and we also picked up camping fuel and matches.... came back, went onto the beach, and I set 'em on fire... it was fucking cool. It sounds so damn cool having fire spinning all around you. My parents and Cole were really entertained... My arms are sore from spinning so long. Normally I take little breaks, and normally the wicks are lighter, but when they're soaked in camping fuel they're quite a bit heavier... and I was so excited having them on fire finally that I just kept going (and because they just kept burning) ... finally I just put them out.
I need to make more wicks now. Nick's going to go to the beach with me and we're going to do it this weekend... Blythe's coming too, but Paula's not I guess.... she's coming the 30th, not the 28th... sad.
Hey Eli -- do you and Kailani want to go to the beach too this weekend? We'll go the 28th night after Blythe comes into the train station, then come back the 29th sometime before the concert.... lemme know.
Anyway, Cole and his friend went upstairs so I'm going to play my parents so scrabble now and lose horribly, like always. (I'm the only person I know to ever score negative in Scrabble.... :-))
