Fire pictures! [Dec. 28th, 2000|12:47 am]
Brad Fitzpatrick
For people that keep asking what "spinning" is whenever I mention it, here are pictures from earlier this evening. I'm making some pretty stupid faces in a lot all of them.
Yeah, so the beach was nice and relaxing. I got a workout today ... running around with Cole and his friend Albert all over the beach. They went out on a inflatable boat up the river... I was supposed to watch them so I ran up beside the river and got up on a bridge going over the river, jumped down to the island below, and hopped on their boat... they then dropped me off on a log in the middle of the river where I stay for awhile before Cole came back and picked me up. Fun stuff.

yeah, so came home then nick and I went to GI Joes to get tickets... he tried to pay for them but they wouldn't take his credit card, so I put it on mine... that bitch owes me like $200 now. then dan came over while nick and I were making new wicks. nick's trying to learn to spin backwards ... he's making progress.

then we played some pool, then watched a bunch of TV, then they took off.

now I get to deal with a billion email messages and crap. maybe i'll put it off until tomorrow.

tomorrow night blythe shows up! then nick, blythe, me, garrett?, dan?, are going to the beach to hang out. yea' yea'.

exciting journal entry, huh?

Re:

wow, that's another very nice picture.

actually, i haven't really used my new 3.1 megapixel camera yet because i can't find batteries for it...grrrr...

all pictures on my website are from my old digital camera (tons of use out of), one of my broken quickcams, or my dad's digital camera (as in the case of the fire pictures).

i need a battery for mine. :-(

the package is actually the carrying case, not the batteries... but amazon says they have the battery in now. yay!

thanks , i really love the ease of digital photography.
nuthin like instant satisfaction hehe
im sure youll dig that camera lots. mines a 2.1 megapixel and it prints nicely even at 8x10 on photopaper. (not that i ever print much)
looking forward to more of your pics ;-)

Re:

well i used nice paper on MY printer, and it sorta looked like ass...so i was curious how much you need to spend on a printer to get photo-quality pics printed out...
...did i mention i want a digital camera too?

Dig. vs 35mm

Yeah, it is amazing what they can do these days. I work in a camera shop and have to set people up with the right stuff all the time. Digi photography IS cool in the sense that you get instantaneous viewing, etc...but it would only be a supplement for me. I'll never trade in my Minolta...I dunno, I just love being in the dark room and having that control and personal satisfaction of doing/having your own prints.

The 800si - ohhh yeah. The only function it lacks is basic human emotion. HAha.

Re: Dig. vs 35mm

I, too, appreciate the old stuff. nothing like chillin in the darkroom making prints.
i haven't used one in so long, i don't know of any darkroom i have access to at the UW :(

Re:

i use walmart hehe.... (although there are many many places that will accept jpg or tiff files from digital cameras)
but i think pretty much all the walmarts that have the one hour processing for photos also have a kodak machine that accepts CD's and floppys to print pics on photopaper (of course any photoprocessing place just about does it)
but i think that walmarts prices were the best last time i checked (about 6 bux per full sheet)
