200 pages! [Mar. 27th, 2001|06:42 pm]
Brad Fitzpatrick
Ahhhh! I have to read 200 pages of Homer's The Illiad tonight. This class better not suck if I have to read this much. Okay, no more internet for awhile.

i read the illiad a few years ago. 200 pages isn't too terrible. it's fairly repetitive, so skim it, then read through the sparknotes' plot summaries to make sure you didn't miss anything

whose translation are you using? there are a lot of really boring translations out there..

It is actually a very good story, if you can get into mythology and the like. You may even get hooked and read more. Or perhaps I'm just a nerd...

it's not that bad...

we were supposed to read the odyssey (the sequal to the illiad) in like, 3 weeks, and I didn't. but that's okay, because the teacher also took us to the Seattle Rep's production of the odyssey, and it was the exact same thing.

have fun.
