Didn't one die couple months ago??

That's crappy...

I vote get a sony. Color is so rich and crisp with a trinitron. Plus the screen doesn't curve. (some others dont curve.. but its still nice)

I got a ViewSonic PF790 (on PriceWatch for $350) for $250 from uBid. It's a really great monitor.

I've been running an Hitachi Elite 751 for three years now. It's been rock solid and has totally spoiled me for anything else I've run across.

I bought the 19" Viewsonic PF790 a few weeks ago and it's a beautiful monitor :)

The best I've used lately has to be the Sun 19" I have at work (two in fact). They do 1600x1200@85Hz (although the video cards I have will only do 1280x960 at that refresh rate :)

Other than that, just go for a really tiny dot pitch and either Trinitron or that "DiamondTron" clone (Mitsubishi?)
