I guess I'll go sleep.
Oh, btw ... my new favorite program is xdelta. I sent dormando an email telling him to write it for me and he went out and found xdelta, which does exactly what I wanted. Okay, it's not my favorite... I lied. Second favorite. My actual favorite is still screen.
Too bad you don't have those live cameras set up yet. You could have them take pics of you sleeping in your bed and you could rub it in next time you see Kenji, Chuck, etc. and talk about how soft and comfy it was, not at all like hard concrete sidewalks in a tent.
I think the Real Irritating Birds are getting to you.

Gotta agree on screen.
I have to give my total agreement on screen.
When I first heard mention of it, I thought it was silly. "Using a single terminal to see a screen. Neat?"
Then I actually tried it. And I used it a little more. And I realized that, actually, it is rather cool, if a somewhat novel idea.
A week later, I declared that it was in fact, the most powerful, impressive, and truly nifty Unix utility I'd seen. I almost *never* have a shell opened without screen running on it anymore.
Long live screen!

Oh, I thought you knew about xdelta. I'd have pointed you at it a long time ago... you've always been wishing for binary diffs. :P
Screen? Of all the apps that could be your favorite, screen?
Obviously you're not a screen guru. :-)
I use screen all the time, but I wouldn't consider if my favorite app. Is there a way to name you screens? So you don't have to remember the pids?
My fave app has to be wget...
wget? hm... it's okay, but it's too damn buggy.
