Raindrops [Jan. 6th, 2002|12:21 pm]
Brad Fitzpatrick
I wonder how many times a raindrop both combines with other raindrops and splits apart from getting too large on its path to the group.

thom of radiohead

This is a take 2. But there is something about you that reminds me of Thom -- the lead singer of Radiohead.

Sometimes I think that you have too much time on your hands.

Most of the time, I just think you're nuts :-)

I don't know which is more fascinating: that question, or the fact that there's most likely someone who's studied the subject enough to give an answer.

I was actually thinking about something similar today- thinking about how we always think of rain as getting us wet, hitting us or hitting the ground. However, not enough emphasis is placed on the fact that the raindrop spends most of its life falling silently with millions of other raindrops somewhere in the sky. We're selfish beings, though.

Rain Drop Trivia

Rain drops aren't shaped like cartoonish teardrops. When they are falling the look more like a thick open umbrela. Fluid dyamics at work.
