Wrist Pain [Mar. 2nd, 2002|11:42 am]
Brad Fitzpatrick
Dear Right Wrist,

This is not an opportune time for you to start hurting again. This is not exactly a period in time where I can stop typing for several weeks. I promise to give you a long break soon though, okay?

- Brad

No more IM and unnecessary typing for awhile.

Ergo Keyboards

I was having bad wrist pain for a while about six months ago from repeatitive typing. I switched to a Microsoft Ergo keyboard, which helped out a ton. Are you using an ergo keyboard?

switch hands for your mouse

Switch to using your mouse with your left hand. It really helped me out.

Re: switch hands for your mouse

Yeah. Ditto on the mousing. Apparently it is worse for you than typing.

Check out jwz's page on wrist pain.

Wrists braces might help. Around here (here being NYC) they sell them in most drugstores. It will limit the mobility a little and give support. It can't hurt and it might help. I wear them and it works for me.
