Mulholland Dr. [May. 2nd, 2002|12:40 am]
Brad Fitzpatrick
Just finished watching Mulholland Dr., in an effort to fight the jet-lag and stay up to a decent hour. Bizarre movie, but good... it kept me awake. (or maybe it was the lesbian scenes... Hmmm.)

Anyway, now I crash.

I sent you 15.962 messages? I won't dispute the integer portion of that number, but what constitutes 0.962 of a message? ;)

Wow!

Mulholland Dr. arrived yesterday via Netflix, and I too watched it last night. I was getting a little bit tired of Betty until her first scene with Rita. In the version I watched, Rita's lower half was blurry as she slipped into bed with Betty. Either she was supposed to be some kind of alien, or the movie was censored.

only look at this if you've already seen it

This http://www.salon.com/ent/movies/feature/2001/10/23/mulholland_drive_analysis/ is a really good little thing about that movie. Joseph and I went to see it in the theater and left say "wtf?"

David Lynch is so weird. Have you seen Blue Velvet? Also, David Foster Wallace wrote an extremely funny/intersting about David Lynch and the making of "Lost Highway" in his book of essays "A Supposedly Fun Thing I'll Never Do Again".

Told you I'm obsessive.

Re: only look at this if you've already seen it

Haha... best part of that summary:
OK, so what about the box?

We don't know about the box.
:P

Thanks.
