Bike Ride [Jul. 30th, 2002|04:14 pm]

I finally managed to show my bike pump who's boss and went on a 10 mile bike ride out through the country. I'm in training to bike 70.3 miles to the beach.

Back now, waiting for the sweating to stop so I can take a shower and get on with FotoBilder hackin'.

Playing with apt-build in Debian. Quick! Guess the nationality of the Debian packager who wrote this:
Optimisation level is time dependant in fact more you want to optimize your build more time will be necessary for compiling but faster would be your programs.

Which optimisation level do you want ?
Heh.

"Yoda" isn't a nationality, but I had to say it.

As soon as I learned to spin(80+rpm pedaling) instead of trying to push high gears my riding improved drastically. I think anyone could this do not am I being too optimistic.

I would think the 70.3 mile ride to the beach isn't very far out of reach, but the 70.3 mile ride back from the beach would lick balls.

ride back from the beach..

Especially when riding away from the beach is typically uphill.. Unless you live in one of the few cities(new orleans) that is below sea level.

but luckily brad has a place to stay at the beach.

my grandfather cycles 10.000 to 12.000 kms (not sure how much thats in miles) a year. i think you should be able to manage these 70.3 miles :)
i wouldn't be able, i know...

10 to 12 km isn't much .... 10 km is only 6.2 miles. I did 10 miles just today ... it didn't even take me a whole year! :-)

Oh..... 10,0000? :-P

I'm just playing with you. Als ich in Deutschland war, hatte ich immer Komma und Punkt umgekehrt(?) benutzt.
