I made the best of my insomnia and cleaned my inbox. Now down to 19, and most of them are from mart, discusing the core S2 layer for fotobilder. I really need to go through that carefully one day for about 50 hours straight. (what? that's impossible in one day? damn. two days! :P)

Now that alanj will be slowly picking up a bunch of my LiveJournal duties, I can get to work on FotoBilder again without guilt of total LJ neglection.

Check out mart's color picker widget which I finally got in CVS. Neat, eh? It'll be used for the user S2 layer generator wizard in FotoBilder, and eventually on LiveJournal.

*yawn* Guess I'll attempt sleep once more.

a) It can't be done in two days either - its only 48 hours :-p ... Try 2.09 days :-)

b) That color picker widget is pretty nifty! Any thoughts on adding that functionality around LJ? (yeah, yeah - back to LJ again)... I'm thinking it would be of great use on modify.bml

If you copied the files over to the live LJ tree, someone might be willing to make thos changes. I'm sure the users would love a colorpicker on modify.bml, instead of having to lookup the HTML color codes from some other website.

a) Yes, hence the tongue face. Joke!

b) I'd take a patch for that. (even though S1 + color themes is lame)

Remember that it depends on the palette modification code in FotoBilder, which LJ doesn't have… when it goes on LJ, we'll either have to put some kind of generation doobrey on LJ or abandon the dynamic lightness bar.

I also need to fix RGB to HSV, of course.

It works really well, but seeing the color screen, it just screams to let you move the target around directly to get different colors, ala PSP. Probably serious code explosion.

a little UI for yo a55

i think it's wonderful, but here's a little thing you guys might want to think about. Having a form button after a field tends to have a "submit" like feature or action. In most graphics packages users have learned to click on the current color in the box and then get the selector. I would suggest getting ride of the form button and making the color box itself hold the action.. just my 2 cents!
