Oven temperatures [Sep. 7th, 2002|04:26 pm]
Brad Fitzpatrick
Why do my oven temperature selector buttons go in increments of 5 degrees, starting at 350?

Really, you only need two temperatures... 350 and 400. There should just be a button for reach so I don't have to repeatedly press up to get to 400.

Or hell, let's label them "tater tot" and "pizza".

i would buy an oven solely for the fact that it included a "tater tot" setting.

There should be a fully automatic oven. It'd recognize whatever you put in it with some cameras and image recognition software and adjust the temperature/time accordingly. If it doesn't know what you put in, it could contact a server on the 'net to see if it knows what it is.

Yes! Innovation - where a fully functional dial is replaced with a pain in the ass button!
