Brad Fitzpatrick
Drove to Astoria to enter my not guilty plea. Took a couple minutes, then drove back. I was wrong yesterday.. it's only 90 miles away. Still --- 3 hours of driving for something I could've mailed in, it turns out. (I'd forgotten how it works.) They'll mail me my trial date.

Fedex tried to deliver my repaired digital camera three times while I was gone. It was due to be returned to the sender tomorrow morning, but I just called them and told them not to. (close call)

Setup my wireless network again ... took a NIC out of one of my machines and put it on Enty, which then does DHCP+netfilter+NAT to make it easy to use, but safely isolated from the rest of the network.

Reinstalling Linux on my Dell laptop... everything was so horribly broken from years of sloppy maintenance and sloppy upgrades.

I re-discovered on my New York trip how much I hate OS X also, so I think it's time to re-install Linux on my TiBook also. Hopefully the PPC Linux kernel has good power management for second generation TiBooks now. That was my reason for ditching it before.... couldn't come out of suspend reliably.

Astoria, OR?

That is Astoria, OR, not the one in Queens, right?
I am confused...

Be sure to use benh's kernel and get Daenzer's DRI trunk debs.

There are still some issues with newer models but I think yours should be old enough by now...

tog's just bitter because he considers himself the "inventor" of many mac interface paradigms and doesn't like to see his baby changed. of course, he does offer some valid criticisms, but many of the issues he complains about have been fixed in later versions of mac os x. i'm curious... brad, were you using 10.2?

Just remember that <a href"http://www.couriermail.news.com.au/common/story_page/0,5936,5538029%255E954,00.html">this</a> was a Dell...

OS X is better ditched, but then again, I've been indoctrinated my Microsoft *ducks*

I just got lucky, I guess. I saw a banner ad on some site for LiveJournal and I went and made an account. After I got "bradfitz" and saw it was number 1, I decided to make another really quick before anybody else got just "brad".

Maybe I'll put my accounts up on EBay sometime and make a lot of money for them.

I was thinking ... of not leaving a comment but that would be wrong... I've added you as a friend, and I am just askin' to see if it's okay if I've got you as a friend. ;) bah! Okay, t00dles.

I was curious, where exactly is Astoria in OR? I've been to OR, and... I've been to Portland and the areas around, and I don't remember Astoria? Could it be I'm blonde? ... or It's 90 miles in the direction I wasn't going? ...^^;

How's the weather in beautiful Oregon anyway?

Astoria's the northwesternmost tip of Oregon.

Weather's nice.... getting cold, but that's nice.
