Wikipedia [Apr. 21st, 2003|10:49 pm]
Brad Fitzpatrick
My favorite site lately (and into the foreseeable future) is Wikipedia, a continually evolving community-written encyclopedia:

Why I like it:
  • Philosophical reasons: GNU Free Documentation License, Open, etc…
  • You can get lost for hours. (all inter-linked)
  • I keep learning really interesting/useful things.
  • I can correct people's writing.
Try it out and try not to get addicted. I dare you.

Hmm.. Gotta take some of that learning with a grain of salt. Some of the pharmacy stuff on there was outright blantantly wrong. I fixed it however, so you can learn from those pages.. :)

Whee! A little fun lead me to Roundabout intersection. Take a look at the external link to the Magic Roundabout. Think you could navigate it first time?

That's fun. It's interesting how the path one takes meanders; I started with the Iraq War and am at non-Euclidean geometry now... who knows where I'll end. It is addictive.
