memcached 1.0.2 [Jun. 15th, 2003|04:33 pm]
Brad Fitzpatrick
memcached 1.0.2 released, now with autoconf support (props to evan). Also, now under the BSD license.

I'd still like help with APIs for other languages. (PHP and Java, namely) A lot of people have offered, but nobody's contacted me with any meat or meaty questions. (maybe autoconf support will help people get started?)

I read that slashdot might use memcached? So cool.

I need to setup a mailing list for it.

Yep, I did a little work toward using it for Slash, but since I am gone it will be a question of whether anyone else has the time to pick it up.
Very nifty though....

The 1.0.2 tarball doesn't include the perl API module…

Wow... drdink is still around? He originally hosted my domain on his modem back in 1997, and used to hang out in an IRC channel I started.

Father's Day Weekend.

I was going to actually build some SPEC files for the tarball so you could create SRPMs and RPMs for distribution. Sound like something you'd be interested in throwing up on the memcached homepage?

That'd be cool. I should also put up some plain binaries, and maybe a .deb archive.
