18 bottle of wine on the wall, 18 bottles of wine... [Mar. 7th, 2004|01:49 am]

My mom made me a wine rack for my birthday. My birthday was actually a month ago, but she finally finished it and delivered it last week.

Dina and I just went to the store and bought 18 bottles of wine to fill it.

That's really nice. Your mom's cool.

Get any interesting bottles of wine?

You've posted pictures of your mom's work before, but that rules all. One-off, quality furniture for free? Lucky guy.

Just remember to keep it out of the sun.

Did the clerk ask you if you were having a party, buying that much wine?

Nah, he's used to Brad coming in and buying copious quantities of alcohol :)

No doubt, the way he writes about being drunk all the time. In my day we did not write about it, so there is no proof that I was not the perfect angel that I tell everyone I was. :)

Thank you. I wish I had more time to do all the projects that I have lined up.

Wow! very smooth. I like the contrast of maple and ????. Makes me want a shop real bad.

Do I see a Cooper Mt. vintage in there? ;-)

It is all oak, but I left some of the pieces natural and others with this ebony stain/paint. The top has three granite tiles set into it. He is into the the black, so that is why the black theme.

Yea...I guess the dark Bolivian Rosewood would bring production cost up quite a bit =) Nice piece though!

I made a corner table from maple and cherry for my sis for Christmas. Dont have any pics but it turned out nice. Also made my mom a square end table with maple top, black walnut trim, and oak legs. All natural finish.

I have put my future projects on hold until we buy a house and I have enough room for a table saw. Only so much I can do with a miter, biscuit, and circular saw ;-)

Damn. That's a pretty sweet birthday present. My mom still hasn't made the silk I brought back from china (YEARS ago) into pajamas. I'm holding my breath.
