Two words: Pig farm.

Not that I know that it only takes about an hour to get to a few large pig farms that aren't well watched (at least if you live in Kansas City anyway).

"I don't think there's anybody in law enforcement who would think a defendant would be that stupid to keep a dead body in a storage shed rented under his own name," District Attorney William Fitzpatrick said. "Luckily, people like this keep us in business."

heh. I read that as "we're morons, and can't find bodies of murder victims unless they are in obvious places... like this guy!"

If he was convicted for rape in 1993, he had to serve some time in prison. I wonder how he paid the rent on the storage unit during that time?

You missed the part where he said,
"I don't think there's anybody in law enforcement who would think a defendant would be that stupid to keep a dead body in a storage shed rented under his own name. Luckily, people like this keep us in business."

Luckily?! Um..care to rephrase that? I would hope that anyone in law enforcement would love the day where they WOULD be put out of business.
