blythe came over.... we watched caddyshack. then evan came over for a bit and left. blythe's still here. yeah. i'm thinking i should do something productive now... homework? work on freevote? haven't done that in ages. *sigh* being productive sucks.
update: 1) took a shower, 2) realized that MFC is gonna be hell to learn since I hate the development environment so much (windows crashes, the tabbing is screwy, Ctrl-A selects all instead of going to the beginning of the line, *sigh* I want Unix!!), 3) updated skankywhore.com with a picture of my roommate Eli on halloween, and 4) ate a brownie. coming up: MFC or bed? Hmmmm...
These are the sort of ICQ messages I get: ""i wonder if u could do mi a favour... can u write a tutorial step-by-step in detail to programming a webpage using perl?" I mean Stanly, you're cool and all, but that question is extremely broad. You can't teach something like that in a step-by-step tutorial. I could tell you how to make ONE website, but you won't have learned anything.
i got a fair amount of stuff working in my MFC project including multi-threading. there's still some really trivial shit giving me problems, though. oh well... i'll learn the quirks in time. i'm off to bed now.
back from 8:30 econ. i'm dead tired.... snoozed forever this morning. today's kinda annoying --- i have 2 homework assignments due tomorrow that are 95% done, all that remains is cleaning them up, checking stuff, etc.... boring. anyway, i'm going to take a nap now.
just woke up from my 5 hour nap... slept through my aftenoon class... that's a frist.
gonna eat and go toss the disc around with erik
back from frisbee. just took a shower, but forgot to bring up a towel, so i had to walk back downstairs pretty much dripping wet.... hate it when i do that.
scott's in here... he just asked me, "Brad, what's the most number of tests you've had on a day?" retardly I reply, "Four!". he goes, "Brad, you haven't had 4 classes in a day before...." heh.
i was just about to post a message saying how much writing multi-threaded kernel code sucks (it does), but then i got my stuff workin', so ah yea'... making a little progress.
Graphviz is the coolest damn software package ever.... I used it to make a directed graph of all LiveJournal friend relationships... frickin' amazing. Evan --- you gotta come see it! Or, install graphviz and I'll send you the .dot file. In other news, homework sucks.... I have to finish up the last 3-4% on all my homework assignments due tomorrow.
thing I need to do:
- Clean my backpack... too many random sheets of paper and I can't find a single thing.
- Clean the inside of my car (never done that before)
- Clean the outside of my car. (damn bugs are all over the front again, after going down to Portland on I-5).
- Take my car in for its 7,500 mile service check-up (to make that damn "Maint Req'd" light go off)
- Do homework. (perhaps the most important)
