On the train now -- I accidentally got a ticket for the Seattle to LA trip on the big, slow(er) train with sleeper cars and no TVs. This is a double-decker train so the view is better, and there's tons of leg space, but I was looking forward to the movie. The newer trains are also faster and have GPS systems hooked up to the TVs showing where you are all the time. Oh well. I'll sleep and listen to CDs. Wish I had a laptop to work watch DVDs on.

oh, right on: nobody's sitting next to me and we're moving now.

still on the train... it's running an hour late. i woke up at one point and we were stopped and paramedics were in my car giving some guy oxygen and hauling him out to the ambulances that were right outside my window. i went back to sleep and awoke to them saying the dining car was closing.. so i went and got some food. eta portland: 3:00 pm? back to losing at solitaire...

Back.

Back in Portland .... walked around downtown for awhile before I got on the light-rail back to Beaverton. Nice day out.

Too much damn email. I need to hire a secretary to screen my email for me. That'd rule.

Julie

Julie came over after work to visit...... she was painting a nearby school (that's what she's doing this summer) so she stopped by after work. She's going to go bowling with all of us tomorrow.

Good Run

Back from running ... just went with Nick today (Mike went earlier). We ran in the forest and saw Elisa's car as we drove up. We ran around looking for her ... once we saw her through the trees we snuck up on her, ran real fast behind her, screamed, and pushed her a little .... I think she enjoyed it. :-P

Nick and I ran really well -- neither of us died and we ran pretty hard the whole time. Sweating a bunch now. I'm going to stop sweating, take a shower, and get a bunch of work done.

DVD Packaging

I got no love for DVDs in cardboard packaging. Fuck you, New Line Home Video. Great, you saved 3 cents and now I have a DVD that's easily banged up, and if I break the case, have no way to buy a replacement like I can with the good plastic cases with removable art slips.
