Portland wrap-up

So last night I packed up and then went and hung out with Megan again for, well, all night.

We went to dinner, drove around aimlessly, then she taught me how to play cribbage. We hung out at her place so late that I just ended up crashing on the floor ("sleep-over" :P) and driving up to Seattle this morning really early.

It was a good drive, though ... only 2.5 hours. Averaged 78 mph the first hour, 74 mph the next hour, then 60 or so once I got past Tacoma. But it wasn't even like I was speeding... there was a fair amount of traffic in places but everybody was just driving fast ... I love that. ("No officer, go pull that dude over....")

So then classes. I brought my laptop with me and studied German on the bus and between classes. But it turned out our quiz was delayed until tomorrow. On the way home I worked on LJ. Yay for laptops. Just wish mine wasn't 800 pounds. When I bought it I looked at every spec of it, except size/weight. Oh well ... I mainly need it for going to Oregon / Beach... anywhere else I go already has computers / labs and my friends PuTTY and screen(1).

Now I need to practice gee-tar ... lessons soon and though I've played a lot this week, I haven't worked on what I was supposed to work on.

Tonight: Dante's.

whose da dude wit da words?

(18:58:44) brad: btw, i closed my fireplace flume ... i bet that'll help
(18:58:45) megan: Dunno.
(18:58:49) brad: i had cold air coming in
(18:58:50) megan: The flume?
(18:58:53) megan: YOu mean the flue?
(18:58:55) brad: oh yeah
(18:58:56) brad: that thing
(18:58:57) brad: ;-P
(18:58:57) megan: Haha
(18:59:03) brad: flume's on a pen, huh?
(18:59:09) megan: Hahahaha
(18:59:11) megan: No, that's plume.
(18:59:14) brad: oh shit
(18:59:20) megan: You're getting nowhere fast.

No drinking for me

So, tonight's Monday night drinking night at Dante's (a wonderful idea) and I wanted to attend for my second consecutive week but I think I have to bail.

I've been feeling progressively worse all evening and I think my body needs sleep, not alcohol. Sad.

In other news, I can't think straight at all and I'm cold.
