Post nap.

My nap was good. Too long, though.
Didn't end up going to the movie with Erik, Eli, etc.
Wrote a paper.
Made pancakes.
Went to InterNAP with Sherm.

Now it's time to sleep again.
I've been awake for 6 hours, ya know?

Tomorrow I get to study all day.
And the next day.
And the next day.
And the next day.

But then I go to Portland,
hang out with people for a day or two,
notably Dina, who I've been talking to
nearly daily lately.

Then cruise!

My laptop is still broken. They were supposed to fix it two Mondays ago. Fuckfuck. I guess I'll call and bug them again tomorrow. Hope is low that I'll have it by the cruise. Not that I want to use it too much, but I want a place to offload digital camera pictures and put new mp3s on my nex2 for when I go jogging in the mornings.

Okay, now it's really sleep time.

Death is imminent

Losing my phone? No problem ... I call it and find it. Worst case, I use the phone for awhile.

Losing my wallet? Problem. I can't call it and without it I can't eat. I have no food in this house and I'm about to keel over and die. I need to find my wallet!

email sucks

I would be so much happier without the Internet.

The Internet just makes available to me tons of stupid people.

I need an assistant to pre-screen all my email and only let me see things that: (aren't from stupid people) AND (are interesting OR I care about OR are important)

I'm sure people do that sort of stuff. I wonder what I could pay somebody to do that... Hmmm.

Ahhh! Stop getting sidetracked.

Back to studying! Actually, I think I'm going to go somewhere and study.

Good evening

I went to Barnes & Noble to study math. I ended up buying a German kid/teenager book and skimming through it. I'll need a dictionary to fully understand it, but I was happy I was able to understand as much as I did. Over reading just a few pages, I learned a lot of things. You could study grammar forever, but until you start seeing the grammar used, you won't know it. That's how you have to learn everything: observe, study, observe, study. When I learn protocols/languages, I alternate between reading the spec and sniffing packets/reading code. No different.

Anyway, then I went to Starbuck's and actually studied math. I was surrounded by cute girls studying also. And then Dana, the cutest of them all (heheh), saw me from outside and came to visit. I think the other girls were jealous... I saw two of them looking at her as she walked out. Heh. :P

After that I went to OUGL to study but ended up realizing, "there are lots of books here... I bet I could find cool German books.". And I did... two whole rows of books on German grammar and such. I sat on a stool and skim-read one and checked out another three. When he scanned my card it beeped a bunch and he asked, "Have you never checked out a book on this card?" Heh. 1 quarter to go at UW and I've never checked out a book. Pathetic?

Now I'm back home and I'm going to make an attempt to study math again. I'm not worried about it, but I don't feel like I should be doing anything right now besides studying.

Good enough.

Final is at 8:30 tomorrow.
I'm at that "sleep is more important than studying" point.
Never takes long to get there.

Lights are flickering and I hear thunder.
Fun fun. I love storms.
