Seattle trip was fun. After hanging out with Evan, went to Erik's for a while, then out dancing with Dina, Tabby, and Lindsay.

Had dinner with Dina and her parents again last night.... always good food, but always a lot. I was stuffed for hours afterwards. marcuso and his friend were in town... had drinks (well, iced tea) with them.

Went on a short bike ride today. Bought a 3-year all-club gym membership with cheap annual renewals and a need to inflate my basketball.

Totally absent-minded today. Not sure why. I think I got enough sleep.

Gym & Homework

Went to the gym for a while... ran a couple miles. Sat in the hot tub, listening to hairy guys (like me!) with gold chains (unlike me!) fight about the Raiders throwing the Superbowl. Jumped into the cold pool and swam laps for awhile.

Came home and remembered I had homework due. The teacher didn't have a homework assignment thought up ahead of time, so our weekend homework was to do whatever we wanted that we haven't had time to do before, because she was always giving us "so much homework". (whatever--- the homework load is laughable)

So naturally I put it off until tonight, and had no idea what to do. But! Dina had a good idea... Write a limerick!

Einmal gab es einen Mann mit Arbeit
Mehrdeutige Aufgabe zu machen und so weit'
Er hatte keine Lust
(obwohl er sie machen musst'!)
und das tat seiner Lehrerin ganz Leid.

Während macht der Fernseher ihn dick
Eingebungen kamen ihm nicht
Zum Glück hatte die Freundin Idee,
die rief ihn von dem See.
Er sass und screib einen Limerick!
Which is grammatically wrong a bit, and doesn't rhyme perfectly, but works well enough for half-assed homework, and I find it amusing. In English it's roughly:
There once was a man with work
Ambiguous homework to do and so on
He had no lust
(although he had to do it!)
And that did to his teacher sorrow.

While the television made him fat
Inspiration came to him not
Fortunately had the friend idea,
who called from the lake
[okay, a lie, but I couldn't rhyme]
He sat and wrote a limerick!
