Nope. LiveJournal runs off a laptop sitting at the base of St. Helens. Sometimes bears attack it. We think we'll just close the laptop lid and let the magma flow OVER the laptop, then it'll harden and form a protective shell around the laptop, and then the bears can't get it.

I just hope the 802.11b wireless works through the lava flow after it hardens. :-)

Maybe this is why the disks keep failing then.

I have no scientific reason for thinking it's going to blow and cover us all in ash and a dark apocolyptic cloud (giving me a few days off at work) but I do. It's probably for the same reason I feel certain Kerry is going to win the election; just because I want it to happen.

Why does a natural disaster make me so damn giddy.

Because it's out of the ordinary.

True, everyone has earthquake and hurricane stories, few in the States or really in the world have VOLCANO stories.

If it does blow I'll have to hunt down a tornado. Then I'll be able to say I've experienced every kind of natrual disaster. Living in LA really helped me get close to that title. God seems to have a hardon for torturing SoCal.

I've lived through a tornado already, so I'm ahead of you. Pussy.

Also, shiny.

We need to find a place to setup the DJ rig so we can dance around it.

Wikipedia has had four hurricanes passing near or over its colo so far this year, so I'm sure it must be your turn to have some excitement now. How's your own local volcano doing?:) Any closer than this one?

Sorry to hear about your server ordering troubles. Frustrating to have money to spend, want to spend it and be unable to.
