WTF? And Kodak wants $1b in damages? Whatever.

Another example of software patents getting worse and worse.

Er, unless they license with Kodak they're as much at risk as Sun of being sued. MS doesn't really need an excuse to push .net.

I don't see Sun trying to fundamentally challenge the patent system as suggested in the article. They're hardly innocent. They have used the patent system to their own gain more than enough in the past that they have as much to lose by it going away as any other large corporation.
