I dragged myself through the bearable-but-still-pretty-painful Nokia photo upload API instructions and got it working.

I can now get pics off my phone:

Dina from her Sony Ericson, to my phone via Bluetooth, to web via Nokia Upload:
http://www.picpix.com/brad/pic/006kppz9

Jesse at the Six Apart office, from my Nokia 6670 to web via Nokia Upload:
http://www.picpix.com/brad/pic/006kqx1z

Now to implement some more modes and integrate this into FotoBilder (PicPix / Scrapbook).

In real life I do not look like a hulking pervert.

Honest.

Re: Un-possible.

There are USB enabled devices to alleviate the need for one handed surfing.

Why on earth do you need a special API to upload photos? Damn Nokia.

It's not that bad... it's like super-simple WebDAV without all the XML. Lets you create/get/delete pictures and directories, including nested directories.

It's just HTTP POSTs with documented keys for requests and responses... like LJ's flat interface. Hell, even their responses are text/plain key=value\r\n.

Sounds like it's fuller-featured than Fotobilder's native protocol! ;)

I'd like to see FotoBilder support just plain old HTTP PUT with Digest auth. I already have the guts of a client to do that from the S2 upload thing, and uploading to different galleries is just a matter of URL. (The problem, as ever, is that there's no decent way to find out what URLs are available/acceptable)

I was going to say the same. But she's always seemed to remind me of Amélie with those big eyes and that smile. Too cute.

They spent their ceiling budget on Hookers and Blow™.

They had a ceiling for quite a while but they had to sell some of it off to cover costs of some rather large expenditures.

That's pretty cool considering it's from a phone. Which phone is this?

Kickass. I'm finally getting a phone (Nokia of course) with a camera (and Bluetooth) this week. I may have to steal whatever you've got and make it into a module :)

Interesting. Is what's being integrated similar to the 6apart - Nokia Lifeblog collaboration project?

I haven't looked at that yet, but we'll probably support it sometime.
