Hmm. In your last set of photos I seem to remember that sign on the front door saying “LiVE JOURNAL” (with the space) but now it says “LiVEJOURNAL” how it should. Was that altered, or am I just remembering your last set of pictures wrong?

Oh shit, I hadn't noticed. Zooming in on the picture, it does look like somebody corrected it!

That's awesome. We didn't even complain... just talked about it on my last post. I wonder what chain of events led to it being corrected.

I think the text is now a little off-center from the logo. I prefer that to it having a space, though!

It was me. I posted to the internal weblog with basically a diatribe on "this is how you spell LiveJournal, and FFS IT HAS NO SPACE". Except I was nicer than that I think.

Barak emailed me and said "it has a space on the web site, see [link]".

So I dug up the etymology of the files in /misc/ljlogo and turns out some of them were "original samples" that had the space and were never removed from the directory, the real file is the SVG, which has no space.

I replied to Barak, gave him all the information, and never heard back.

And now it's fixed.

It's not exactly a big secret, but I'm not going to post the address either. Stalkers need to put in some amount of work. :-)

HINT: it's in SOMA.

I have been amused to watch the evolution of the door as I walk past on my way home from work. Several times back in the spring I saw an older gent locking the rickety wooden (?) door that had a paper sign saying "Six Apart". And now it's all chromed and shiny... snif snif, it's like watching a toddler taking the keys to the Camero. All big and growed up now.

Ah yes, looking at the photo, it's still the same door (or at least the same style).

The old frame just looked ... dilapidated, y'know?

I remember when it was two rusty oil drums and a piece of barbed wire. Wow, those were the days...

Oi that's awesome. I'd so go there just to stand out the front and get someone to take a picture. That's a neat door.
