ryanfitz came up with the title of our latest news post (It's cool to blog at school), making fun of the stickers that used to be all over the Beaverton School District saying "It's cool to eat at school!"|
Who else remembers those stickers? Anybody from outside Beaverton/Oregon?
and yes i remember those stickers
We had those in the Issaquah School District 15 years ago. I was immediately reminded of them when reading the title of that post.
I don't even remember the ones from Beaverton!
Yeah, I'm with Righellis here... I don't remember that sticker either. Really, they only sign in the schools that I do remember is the ones that siad, Vote for Large Members

and "change is good..."
They were not stickers, but magnets. Brad collected hundreds of them and stuck them on a water heater that was in a closet off of his room. We actually moved them when we moved to the new house. They got stuck on a fridge in the garage, but just less than a year ago I got rid of them when the old fridge died. Who knows maybe I can even find one or two around here somewhere, since we keep so much junk.
Brad you should totally add a high school dropout feature, I totally wanna say I dropped out and have my shiny (and tiny) GED displayed in all it's beautiful glory!
Also some glitter text to show we're better than everyone.
we had "it's cool to follow the rules"- as in, don't assault the bus driver while they're trying to drive and hit their crack pipe at the same time
Hey Brad, It's Russ Getchell from the AHS cross-country team. You can bet you ass that I remember those stickers, they were just like the ones that you made me for the Sophmore year x-c banquet that said "I love Russ"

Re: Yeah, I remember
Hey Russ! It's been a long time. You still run? Out in the desert now I see.... I had to look up that town to see where it was. The website says "The Future of Eastern Oregon". Pretty cool to live in the future! :-)

not outside of Aloha but...
I remember those, and also "It's cool to..." stay in school, follow the rules, and other such idiotic rhyming phrases that belittled the intelligence of the school attendees.
(don't know if you remember me or not, Charles Düm, but you helped me out learning qBasic every so often while you were in the back room with Jamie and the other people who actually knew what you were doing for programming back then... 96/97)
