Is there a way to look for LiveJournal users in numerical order?

Used to be. We block any enumeration of the database. Stupid spiders can be too painful.

If you have the right rights, you can use userinfo.bml?userid=[N]

That's a feature I've wanted for a long time. I want to know who has user numbers lower than me. (Other than Brad and his family.)

Alas, I have no rights. :-(

ok...

Here are the ones I know: Sahrie is #8; Eli is #10; Erik is #14; Whitaker is #15; Rynfitz is #21; Marcus is #24; and Kelly is #19.

Re: ok...

Amazing how LJ have grown, being yizhe (164) among the millions that exist now on the system does bring back some old memories ;-)

html 4.01's attributes list over at the w3c says that the title attribute can be used in "All elements but BASE, BASEFONT, HEAD, HTML, META, PARAM, SCRIPT, [and] TITLE."

that could be used instead of <abbr> or <acronym> unless there's something else that i don't know.

I left my XP laptop at work. Can you let me know which attributes IE shows tooltips for? What about <div>? That'd be ideal. Or abbr, if that works.

the title attribute seems to work on <div> but not <abbr>.

I agree, <span> is probably the most sensible thing to use.

yeh span would be a better choice, as it shouldn't want to affect any layout, unlike div. hey.. thats what span is for :)

IE doesn't support ABBR at all. It just ignores it as an unrecognised element. It's been my experience that IE will handle TITLE on just about anything that actually gets rendered.

THANK YOU. Just this morning I was trying to figure out what the hell time a comment was posted, since the timestamp interpreted as GMT would have been before the entry was posted, and as the journal owner's time, comment poster's time, or my time it would have been at least an hour in the future.

That was a different bug, here:
http://www.livejournal.com/community/changelog/2323141.html

But after I fixed that I realized how easy timezones would be and went on and did it.

:/

I know Brad has 1 and 2. And Eli has 10, but I can't find who number 3 is. This is beginning to bug me. :) Could #3 be (gasp!) Frank?

Thank you!! Does Frank have a number? I know Major does, with cute pics and eveything. Also, is Frank a real goat or is he just a logo? (I was just wondering.)

will this (or something similar to what you already have) be put on S1 comment pages?

S1 comment pages are going away, being converted to S2 comment pages that LOOK like S1 comment pages. recent post in lj_dev about it, here:
