No internet at home? [Nov. 16th, 2005|05:13 pm]
Brad Fitzpatrick
I think the annoying construction people might've backhoed through our Internet. dina's at home and says she can't get online.

And to think, I let them use our water hookup this morning for their damn drilling machine.

Time to go home and see....

Might have? You should know that any kind of underground cable is a magnet for backhoes. Last time the gas men were working in our street they backhoed the mains feed and let out all the magic smoke. Their excuse was that while someone had marked where the mains, gas, water, etc. went, that someone hadn't marked where the feed crossed a gas main.

One time my Internet went wonky, and it turned out a squirrel ate halfway through the cable. I hope it tasted good.

i hope you striked up a deal with them about the time they can start using their noisy machinery when you let them use your water.
