Wow. Such a great analogy, one you can really dig a hole with.

Differing register widths, performance features, and x87's stack-oriented (floating point) operation... all without going into sparc's ring of registers which just get passed around. So many things to get slapped over, if one's girlfriend were around.

Then, of course, there are the women who count in the same direction you do and follow a simple, clearly-defined set of instructions. Did I say women? I meant IBM POWER and IBM/Motorola PowerPC architectures...
