I don't hate anything, I love LJ, but we would love to meet you just the same. Are you ever coming to Austin, Texas again?

Ah man, I hate Jillian's. | (Link)

But I'd love to come by and see ya. I don't have any suggestions for livejournal, though.
Agreed. It'll be great to catch up with you and all, but thanks for picking one of Seattle's worst bars.

I wanted Dante's, but it was felt all-ages was important. :-/
And where's my XXXL LJ tank top?!
I'm sure you'll hear a few things, but since I'm not sure I can make to the Portland outing, my major complaint is how cookies are handled. Currently I have four cookies set for LJ. I've always been a fan of "one site, one cookie", particularly since excessive cookies from sites can cause other (desired) cookies to get bumped. I don't know how much of an issue this is with modern user agents, so it could be a moot point.
My major gripe, though, is "Sarah" (not her real name). She's a friend of my niece. Sarah had an LJ and she was a goth teenager. She wrote in her journal that her parents didn't understand her, that she wasn't popular in school, etc. Just typical teenage angst. Nothing in there about sex, drugs, bell tower/deer rifle fantasies or anything like that.
Her "Brad and Janet" cardigan-wearing parents found this journal by reviewing the cookies set in the user agent and they figured out her username. She was forced to delete her journal and was grounded.
I would really, really like to see LJ address this concern by not storing identifying information in the cookies.
I filed a complaint/bug report about this a long time ago and the response was that "it would be too much of a database hit to always fetch the username.
Other than that, I've been quite happy with LJ. Thanks for all of your hard work.
(Oh, and trackbacks ... :)
one thing I can think of, would be to figure out a way from letting one LJ entry with malformed HTML, from breaking my whole friends page.
Ill try to make it up there, I work that night at [insert Recently Purchased CRM Company Here]at 10pm, so it may be tight.

Thought you were going out of town this weekend? Not until Saturday?

Yeah...I talked with my brother and he might not need me to take his car down anymore. Even if he does I don't think I'll leave till Saturday morning. (Deleted comment) (Deleted comment)
WTF Brad, I don't see Hermiston on the list. There are going to be about 5 very disappointed livejournal users. I will be in P-town on the 12th, but I have to teach on the 13th. Also, it is the first day of track practice.
So does your family have to come to McMenamins to see you, or will you make a visit to Beaverton?
