more travel hell... [Aug. 2nd, 2006|12:48 pm]
Brad Fitzpatrick
our united flight (for SAS) home from chicago got downgraded from 767 to 757 so now its overbooked by 50+ not 20. All passengers must get in line and recheck their seats. longest line ever. Doubt we're leaving on time.

O'hare is terrible

O'Hare is a terrible airport. It should be planted over and turned into a big park, and we'll try again somewhere else.

Good luck getting home!

Tempting, but after the hell in Barcelona and all that, I'd just want to get home ASAP at this point.

It's usually more like one coach ticket and a gift certificate for a free cheeseburger at the restaurant in the terminal. :-P

Yes, but he has 2 seats, and each would get the full package.

And, it's all up to one's negotiating skills, the seniority of the person doing the vdb call, etc.

Re: pain?

Not at all. And instead of yawning or chewing gum to relieve pressure, I didn't have to do anything: my ear just "farted" kinda when it wanted to equalize pressure.
