Packing Light... [Apr. 27th, 2007|02:34 pm]

As opposed to my recent trips to Moscow, Belize and Tokyo, it feels damn good to be heading to the airport with just a backpack with a computer and some clothes.

No coat, no suitcase.

This is how travel should be.

This is how I always travel :)
Up to a month in one backpack that will fit under a seat.

I was about to say that krow has it down to a science. But I'm too late.

I usually cache supplies at destinations, so I can travel with just a briefcase and maybe 1-2 days of stuff for emergencies, OR travel with fully self contained supplies for an indefinite period. Traveling with just a briefcase is vastly more fun.

You should just get some stuff to leave in Russia and Belize -- stuff is cheap, I'm sure you've got spares.
