been getting pissed off that my parents keep rebooting our server upstairs with the internet connection we all use. the server runs windows, so always needs to be rebooted. i came up a proposal to rearrange some parts from extra computers we have here and get $227.50 of new parts and build a new linux machine that does nothing but connect to the net, and we'd be able to have it redial automatically when the line died or even have a web server on it that gives statistics about the connection, or let you redial over the home intranet. yea'yea'. that's my new project. hopefully my mom will agree to the plan. ;-P
